The World Staffing Summit is a premier event in the staffing and workforce solutions industry. The first World Staffing Summit was held in January 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, and was the brainchild of Dirk Van Quaquebeke, Managing Director of Beenext and board member of Candidate.ly. Jakob Feinböck was hired to organize the summit, alongside CEO and Co-founder Jan Jedlinski. Despite the challenging circumstances, the first World Staffing Summit was a huge success, attracting 4,995 registrations and around 2,800 attendees. With a focus on the US, the event brought together 45 industry experts to discuss the impact of Covid on the future of the staffing industry. The event was purely organic and received no sponsorships or outside promotion.
Building on the success of the first World Staffing Summit, the second event was even bigger and more ambitious. Spanning 5 days and covering multiple time zones, the second World Staffing Summit brought together over 180 speakers to address the latest trends and challenges in the staffing and workforce solutions industry. This time, the event had sponsors, which added a promotional element to the sessions. Despite a larger scale and increased visibility, the second World Staffing Summit did not receive the same level of engagement as the first, and technical difficulties (using Airmeet instead of Hopin) also impacted the overall experience.
For the third World Staffing Summit, held in January 2023, the organizers returned to their roots by offering a one-day event with a focus on the US and featuring 45 expert speakers. This return to the original formula proved to be a successful decision, offering a focused and engaging experience for attendees.
