Job Overview:
As the Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our North American operations. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, driving revenue growth through outbound sales efforts, and building and managing a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the staffing industry, particularly in selling software solutions to staffing companies. You will report directly to the CEO and will need a hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals in North America.
- Identify and prioritize key accounts within the staffing industry.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to adjust strategies as necessary.
- Outbound Sales Efforts:
- Lead outbound sales initiatives, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking to generate your leads and close deals.
- Reach out to new prospects daily.
- Nurture and follow up with prospects daily that are not yet ready to purchase with relevant information and drip campaigns using tools like HubSpot.
- Ensure successful follow-through of sales cycles by maintaining accurate information in HubSpot.
- Sales Operations:
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize Hubspot tools to manage sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions.
- Closely collaborate with Bullhorn’s team to identify new sales opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end sales & demo cycle until close.
- Report your weekly outcomes of leads developed, new leads added, deals closed, forecasts, and any field sales intelligence; and generate reports on all phases of activities ready to review during weekly team calls.
- Team Building and Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals as the customer base grows.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the sales team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
- Client Management:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by understanding client needs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to help them achieve their business goals.
- Product and Industry Knowledge:
- Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on our product roadmap, industry changes, and competitive landscape.
- Document and continue to build out our sales playbook with all important learnings and tactics to set us up for success in the future.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales role within the staffing industry or selling software solutions to staffing companies.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans.
- Hands-on approach and comfortable working independently.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
